Ashley Block
Director of Surrogacy Case Management
Ashley was born and raised in California and now lives in Idaho, where she enjoys reading, fishing, camping, and spending time with her family. Her personal journey into surrogacy began in 2019, and since then she has completed three surrogacy journeys of her own — an experience that profoundly shaped her understanding of the emotional, physical, and logistical realities that surrogates face.
Drawing from both her lived experience and years in the field, Ashley joined GSHC in 2020 and has grown to become the Director of Surrogacy Case Management. Her background as a three-time surrogate gives her a rare depth of insight, allowing her to guide gestational carriers with empathy, clarity, and confidence. Over the years, she has worked closely with leading fertility clinics, attorneys, mental health professionals, and other industry partners, building strong collaborative relationships that help ensure smooth communication and comprehensive support for every case.
In her leadership role, Ashley oversees the entire surrogate support pathway — from educating new GCs and preparing them for each stage, to coordinating appointments, medications, screenings, and emotional check-ins throughout the pregnancy. She is especially known for her ability to connect with surrogates on a personal level, offering reassurance, understanding, and encouragement grounded in her own firsthand knowledge of the process.
Ashley’s commitment is simple: she wants every surrogate to feel guided, protected, and cared for every step of the way. Her presence brings comfort to intended parents, confidence to surrogates, and strength to the entire GSHC team.
